Tell me what's on the other side of the mountains
I attached a story I read yesterday while fozaba (stirring) on \u200b\u200bthe Internet. Here, the original link
Brunne Eva Pastor, 55 years old, was elected elected as new Bishop of the Diocese of Stockholm in the Swedish Church, the largest Lutheran church in the world. The news has had a major impact because according to the Lutheran service of the press, declaring Brunne lesbian and lives with his girlfriend and son of them, three years.
Brunne received in the election a total of 413 votes against the 365 votes in favor of his closest opponent, Hans Ulfvebrand in the second round of voting.
The diocese announced that Brunner and his partner Eva Gunilla Linden, who also is sorted, have a three year old son. Their relationship was at the time approval of the church and in fact, is the first bishops of the Lutheran church living in a homosexual relationship recognized, which would be unprecedented worldwide. ------
When I read the news I got a smirk reflects, though, what fool, I was somewhat surprised. It is not just the fact that the Lutheran church allow women to be sorted, but has left two lesbian women, both ordained, to coexist peacefully and to make matters worse, they have chosen to one of them as bishop. Is a concatenation of events enormously paradoxical, but real, mind you, the world keeps turning.
Looking for more information, I found two links that made my wonder increased and the smirk pass before a big smile.
The first basically says that since 2005 the Swedish Lutheran Church will bless the marriages of same sex. However, not all joy, as shepherds of the west coast of Sweden became a schism in protest at the ordination of women and homosexuals. Since the saying goes: everywhere cooked beans. At least here seems to be cooked less
In the second link tell us that the past 2 years the Swedish Lutheran church participates with its own banner on the day of pride. We do not know if it is a political strategy to win addicts want say supporters, but in any case, is there.
Meanwhile, as our Protestant neighbors walk, step by step, to see what lies beyond, we still cowering under the watchful eye of Rouco (and company) and his big hand Catholic. Someday I will cross the wires and I'll Protestant. I said.
